The Love Tutoring Festivals are a series of inclusive, innovative events which create opportunities for all the stakeholders in the world of tutoring to connect, learn and engage.

Since its launch in 2021, The Love Tutoring Festivals have brought together more than three thousand participants internationally. We bring together tutoring businesses, independent tutors, ed tech companies, schools, parents, students and policymakers with the overarching aim of raising standards in tutoring together.

In 2023, we launched hybrid events, responding to the needs and norms of our changing world and ways of working. Powered by Qualified Tutor, we use our extensive network in the wider education space to bring

We are delighted to announce the fourth Love Tutoring Festival, LTF4. This festival is curated for and by tutors to come together to create a community of safe, skilled, and supported tutors, and businesses from across the world of tutoring.

A 3-DAY LONG FESTIVAL CELEBRATING TUTORING

In this hybrid event, you will be able to attend panel discussions, keynote speaker events, watch live podcast recordings, and have exclusive access to a microsite hosting all recorded sessions so you never miss a moment.

Located in both a London venue at Skyline London and virtually, you can join us to truly transform your tutoring business.

My ‘why’ is to contribute to the change that needs to happen in education to make it more nuanced, sustainable and fit-for-purpose. As a school leader, my passion is for shifting culture by developing the people around me. I created Qualified Tutor, a much-loved community and training provider, and the Love Tutoring Online Community to provide confidence and connection for tutors. My book ‘Love Tutoring: Turn your Plan B into a Plan A’ is coming soon. My husband Simon and I have the pleasure and privilege of raising five amazing children ranging in age from 6 to 16.

Charlotte began her career teaching in Brixton and worked in a number of state primary schools throughout London. She also gained experience in a number of prep schools in London and Surrey. English has been her specialism throughout her career and she became Head of Department in several schools. She was also a teaching and learning consultant for the London borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster and Deputy Headteacher. Throughout her teaching career, she tutored in the evenings and weekends. However, an epiphany occurred in 2016, when she finally decided that tutoring was her true calling. Since then, her tutoring service has grown into a thriving 11+ and GCSE exam preparation business for groups both online and face to face. Charlotte regularly tutors 160 students a week. Her passion is to nurture a love of English and learning in her students whilst developing the rigorous skills and knowledge needed for exam prep whilst maintaining healthy well-being practices.

Her previous career in the Royal Navy and as an on-screen BBC weather forecaster has provided her with a unique set of skills and life lessons that she draws upon in her teaching. Throughout her career, she has prioritised the needs of her students. She believes that every student has the potential to succeed and helps them achieve their goals through a collaborative approach to learning. She is committed to ongoing professional development. She believes that being part of a mutually supportive community of tutors has played a huge part in enhancing her skills and knowledge to ensure that she is providing the best possible learning experience for her students.

Georgina is a retired scientist, current personal tutor, and owner of Green Tutors. With her tutor team of scientists, engineers, and programmers, she has been inspiring students in their STEM studies and career choices since 2011. Since March 2020 Georgina has been coaching teachers and tutors to bring their lessons online and grow their online businesses through her free Facebook group, one to one mentoring, and group coaching sessions. In 2022 Georgina was a member of the STEMAzing Women Inspiration Academy. Georgina also delivers STEM workshops and careers events in local schools as a volunteer through STEM Learning and ELSA Next Generation.

Helen is the founder of Osmond Education. She has been tutoring in GCSE and A-Level Maths both in person and online since 2010. She also has a BSc Hons in Pure and Applied Mathematics from the University of Exeter, and a Level 3 in Education and Training. She is an active member of the Love Tutoring Community and regularly contributes to the content there. Helen has beenshortlisted for the National Tutoring Awards: Best Professional, Best Secondary and Best Online Tutor 2023 When not tutoring, she can be found juggling the demands of family life, as well enjoying too many cups of tea!

In her first year she found herself working full time, fully booked with a long waiting list and living a happier, more balanced life. Love Tutoring Festival 2 was the moment she started to believe she could continue her passion for science education but teach beyond the constraints of the classroom, doing what she loves but in a more fulfilling and impactful way. She is delighted to be on the panel at LTF4 to share her journey and inspire others.

A teacher/tutor and now education technology founder with thousands of hours of teaching experience and a love of learning - both for myself and others. I teach/have taught a range of subjects - from chemistry and biology to history and philosophy. I've taught students from an enormous range of ages, backgrounds and ability levels from KS2 to undergraduate level. In terms of education, have a particular interest in schema theory, cognitive load theory and using neuroscience to explain and continuously improve upon good educational practice. My ultimate goal is to help all students acquire a deep and meaningful understanding across a broad range of subjects - helping them to be both academically successful and live fulfilling and productive lives. If I can help other teachers along the way, that's a privilege. A South African born, Australian residing in Salisbury, UK, Kirstin is an Online School Leader, Neurodiversity Advocate, and ADHD Coach. Her passion for helping neurodiverse learners led her to establish Gaia Learning, an online education platform catering to students aged 8-16 who may struggle in conventional educational environments. Gaia Learning offers structured, engaging, and skills-based national curriculum-aligned sessions for these students. In her role as an ADHD coach, Kirstin provides invaluable support and guidance to parents, teenagers, and educators, assisting them in overcoming the challenges associated with living and working with ADHD. In 2022, she joined forces with entrepreneur Kate Carney to co-found Hybrid School Ltd. The duo aims to revolutionise traditional education by harnessing technology to create more human, flexible, and valuable learning experiences. Their mission is to help independent schools expand their reach by building custom online schools to serve local communities in hybrid learning hubs. Kirstin's expertise and impact extend beyond neurodiversity and ADHD, as she is also a Postgraduate Fellow at the Royal Geographical Society. Professor Dame Alison Peacock is Chief Executive of the Chartered College of Teaching, a new Professional Body that seeks to raise our status through celebrating, supporting and connecting teachers to provide expert teaching and leadership. Prior to joining the Chartered College, Dame Alison was Executive Headteacher of The Wroxham School in Hertfordshire. Her career to date has spanned primary, secondary and advisory roles. She is an Honorary Fellow of Queens College Cambridge, Hughes Hall Cambridge and UCL, a Visiting Professor of both the University of Hertfordshire and Glyndŵr University and a trustee for Big Change. After the position of Programme Director, Jen became Action Tutoring Interim CEO in 2017 and again in 2021, both maternity covers. Lucy is well known within the tutoring industry for being a pioneering influence for change, with a particular focus on championing a career in tutoring, as well as being a leading voice in the development of a national alternative provision strategy. Lucy spends the majority of her time lobbying for funded packages of support on behalf of families and learners with additional needs, who have been unable to access their named educational setting. She is now heavily involved in projects to investigate financing the shortfall in state and independent education budgets. She is a straight-A student with a First Class degree in Chemical Engineering, as well as being a qualified coach with over 14 years experience. Her passion is helping students to believe in themselves and set ambitious goals. She then teaches a proven, evidence-based study system to allow them to achieve their aims. She does this by re-engaging students with education and encouraging them to place themselves and their needs, at the heart of everything they do. Laura Fox, MEd, is a Senior Education Adviser at Education Development Trust with over 18 years’ experience in the education sector. Beginning as an English teacher in Sheffield, Laura moved into Head of Faculty and leadership roles in Northamptonshire, completing her MLDP and Masters in Education, before progressing into an Education Adviser role in 2021. Laura is now a Senior Education Adviser at Education Development Trust, leading a team of Education Advisers in the design and delivery of professional development for in-school tutors and academic mentors, as part of the National Tutoring Programme.
